Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hi We are new to RV Dreams and wanted to say Hi!

Hi, my wife Jenny and I are about to become full time campers. We will be retiring next month! We are life long campers and have raised 4 sons who are also campers.  We are looking forward to camp hosting for a few months out the year.  We have not had the opportunity to camp host until now. We are excited about traveling to different areas  and meeting new people.   Any advice or comments about being a camp host is appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Welcome, Dan and Jenny.

You have definitely found a good source of information among the folks here at RV Dreams forums.  We are glad to have you as part of the family.  On occasion, someone will make a comment that hits us with a not so subtle realization that something we've been doing is wrong and there is a better way.  It can be very educational here.

So, feel free to ask questions and never have the idea that a question is a dumb one.  The only dumb questions are those that are not asked and end up costing us time or money.

Good luck with all your research and planning.

Terry

Welcome Dan and Jenny,

You have a great background for entering this lifestyle. If you can work it in your schedule, we really recommend attending a RV-Dreams Rally. As much experience as you have, you'll still learn so much in addition to having a great time and making new friends.

Thanks so much for all your kind welcomes! I truly believe you can ALWAYS teach an old dog new tricks. I am sure we will learn a lot from this forum. I will check out the RV-Dreams Rally and see if we can work that into our schedule! We have a 28' Ultra lite pull along and a 2500 silverado ( with a enclosed bed) . It has worked for us camping and vacationing in the past. Its a wait and see thing if it will work for us when we are living in it for 3-4 month at a stretch.

Dan
