Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from Quebec, Canada

We are a 29 years married couple with two grown up boys 26 & 25 that have left the family nest. We have started to plan our retirement a while time ago and wished to be in 2018 in a class A motorhome with our motorcycles. For the last decade we have been reading books, browsing the web, attended RV shows, without mentionning the financial preparation aspect. We have done our homework and still learning. Things have changed and our dream might, could or will happen within the next two years. We already know the type of rig we want it is only a matter of finding it and to make our final decision to hit the road and join the RV Community. Who knw's we might cross your road.

Jean,

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  You will find this to be a good source of information, both on the forums and on the rest of Howard and Linda's website.  Feel free to ask questions as everyone pretty much is ready to help with answers.

Thank's for the welcome words. Actually I will probably have some questions in a near future. Our next step is the RV show in Hershey,PA next week, there is a big difference between all the previous RV show we went before. In fact now we are starting to do some serious shopping instead of feading the dream. Like I said we have a good idea of what we want, the only thing to solve is a way to carry our motorcycles we both have a Harley Davidson and there is no way that we will be travelling without them. Riding bikes is also a passion beside the outdoors and RV living. I'm still trying to find a company that sell a product such as a plate form with the capability of carrying both motorcycle. So far the result of my quest is negative, there's some products on the market but only for one bike. Basically what we are trying to get is a Class A Diesel Pusher without having to tow a trailer. There is only two class A Toy Hauler on the market, Thor Outlaw and Newmar Canyon Star, both with the gas engine Ford V-10 Triton. I'm not in favor for that type of engine because of the lenght, weight and towing capacity of the motorhome we are looking for. We are not the type of people to change RV each two or three years therefore we want to buy our motorhome just like if it would be the first and last one, we made a lot of compromise in the past with our three houses and there won't be a lot with this "home".

Depending on your needs, you might consider a Super C toy hauler.  One of our other members, with the username of Genecop, has such an RV.  He has posted photos of his RV elsewhere, so allow me to provide you with a link to photos of his rig.  There are quite a few "detail" photos prior to the first picture that I link to that are photos of various details, including a Smart Car in the garage.  If you start at the first picture and then use the right arrow to maneuver through the images, you will see the overall good looks of their rig.  Who knows, it might even tempt you to look into the same brand.

PS:  Now, I hope I'm not in trouble with Gene in showing these to you.  He might have preferred to show you himself.  However, I'll beg for forgiveness if it is necessary; anything to help a new member.
