Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Vivos Underground RV Park - Kansas

ULTIMATE RV PREPPERS, HERE YOU GO!!!

I saw a show about this facility on True TV yesterday, 08/21/13. This facility used to be an underground government facility. Since the government now has almost 150 newly finished Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs) they are now selling many older facilities and unused missle silos to civilian contractors which are converting and selling space to the less elite that are not currently on the "Save List."

Here you go, an Underground RV Park located in Kansas is now selling RV spaces for any size RV at very reasonable costs. The RV Park is already completed and was dug by the U.S. government several years ago. When it is time to go underground for the next devastating catastrophe, your space will be ready for you're rig and family. Your RV space comes with 1 year's worth of food for each person in your rig. Perhaps the most unique feature of the shelter is that members can drive any full size recreational trailer or motor home directly inside, with space for more than 1,000 vehicles. Like an underground RV park, each family will enjoy the privacy of their own vehicle, meeting their particular needs and comfort standards.

I post this information only for informational purposes since it has to do with RVs. Check out the site, you may find it to be some interesting reading.

Definitely does NOT have the "It" factor.

OK, Bill.  It is hard to determine sarcasm, snarkyness, and "kidding" when there are no "visible signs" that it may be those kinds of comments.  Over on a shooter's forum where I participate, we joke about using smileys, do a "sarcasm/" for "sarcasm on" and "/sarcasm" for "sarcasm off," and the topper is using the "official OSA sarcasm font" whitch is Comic Sans MS.  So, the following could be recognized as sarcasm:

"Some of those folks on those 'prepper shows' are just downright COOL!!"

I have picked up and delivered loads in these caves all around Kansas City. They are very large. When you turn the lights out they are very dark. I'm not sure I want to be sealed in a hole during a life threatening emergency with thousands of people who haven't been tested for mental stability. I think I'll take my chances deep in the woods.

MarkS: I don't think we need to test those people for mental stability.

I don't know if I agree, Bill.  That place sounds almost like "preppers' heaven," and I know a few "preppers" that I'm not so sure about.

Terry: You and I are in full agreement. My point was I am very sure they are not stable. I should have added a smiley face, biggrin.

Yes, absolutely. It will work fine. It won't pick up any TV signals but it will be working just fine given the location!
