Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Darn-Ain't I Smart !!

Darn Ain't I Smart !!

I have spent the last 4 days messing with my Fantastic Breeze fan in the kitchen.
It just quit and I in my wisdom thought "I can fix it" Rather than leave it at CW for 2 or 3 weeks, because I live in here full time.
I know they will replace it for free, but it was a challenge and I had nothing else to do.
Out came the tool box, screws everywhere, tester, wrenches (I don't know what the wrenches were for) and every screwdriver I own.
Four days I worked, nothing worked.
Finally told DW we were going to have to find a motel.
I really hate to admit defeat, but comes an end.
Wait !! One more look, check the incomming electricity again, it's dead. But wait--the fuse fell out must have been loose, checked it with the tester--Dead.
Went to the service station and bought a package of 5 fuses $1.49.
Guess what was wrong ?

I laughed when I read this, so read it to DH. He chuckled and said, "It's even funnier that he admitted it." I'm sure it's a guy thing....
Well, you said you had nothing else to do.biggrin

Yeah, but Camping World would likely have charged $100 an hour or more.

I'd say you did very well, and we all have a tendency to overlook the obvious at times.

Sounds like my DH whenever something breaks. Except all the tools and screws and all the bits & pieces linger long after the job gets done!

I usually have leftover screws; bolts and washers!!! Put them in my spare parts drawer. If it works why look to see where they were suppose to go!! LOL.
