Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Finally FREE FROM CALIFORNIA! I have my RV registered in Nevada, and a Nevada license (all before the California DMV BS has been straightened out). Maybe I should call Cal DMV, to let them know? Anyways, I can hardly believe I am a Nevadan now!
Im starting to like you more now I know your no longer a Cali Girl!!!!!!.............Congrats , may all the pieces fall in place now and make things wonderful happen for you!!

Glad for you. We moved to Nevada from California 15 years ago, and never looked back. We are full-time, currently in San Antonio on way to Florida. Nevada residency continues to work for us, as we spend 3-5 months in a favorite place in Vegas, each year. As long as you don't register your vehicle in Clark county ( not sure about Washoe county), there is no requirement for smog, and registrations can be renewed on line as can licenses. Every time I've gone to a Nevada DMV or called them in Carson City, I've been treated respectfully. That was never the case in CA! Voting registration is from our PMB address in Vegas. The mailbox store forwards our mail whenever we want. We will remain Nevada residents as long as we are on the road, for sure. Best,
Richard

Yes, so far, so good. And Carson City is a very nice place, I am happy to call it "domicile". I've been staying at the Comstock Country RV Resort, and it's very nice, and convenient, on the edge of the desert, yet there is a giant shopping center within walking distance with everything you will ever need, a beautiful park for the dog, a bus stop that will take you all around Carson, to Reno, and Lake Tahoe (if you don't have a toad) As far as traveling, I'll probably be around NV, weaving in and out into CA, AZ, OR, ID, UT.
That RV park seems to be in a perfect location. I know it seems so hard to find one that is convenient to shopping, etc. and we enjoy being able to just walk somewhere after sitting for a long time. Also sounds like a good choice with so many things to see with the choices of states you'll be hanging around. We lived in AZ, Tucson area for 6 years and want to get to Utah to see something, I forget, Ruby Canyon I think it is called.
