Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Thanks to YOU I'm on Solar and the Resulting Video

I posted a question here a little over a month ago and got so much help from you guys that I couldn't have hoped for more - except maybe you coming out and installing it wink  So since you didn't I had to do it myself and decided that while I was at it I might as well record it and put together a video to provide a little help to some others.  I posted a big THANK YOU! on the original question, but thought I'd post it here to to make it really public.  I did post a similar question on another forum, but didn't get nearly the response or the expertise that I found here.  You guys at RV-Dreams are THE BEST!

Scott

You did a nice and pretty professional job with the video.  Been in the TV biz for like a hundred years and you know some good techniques.

Hang around the forum.  We’ll all learn.

BTW, the cable down the grey water vent line is a sure fire safe way to do this if you have access.  Did the same thing and it would be very easy to make that cable #2 in the future if you wanted to up the number of panel on the roof via a combiner box.

Inspiring video, for many getting over the hump of feasibility is half the battle. Not only do you help others come to that conclusion, you make it all come together in grand fashion. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice job Scott. Congrats on a successful install. Maybe we will see you one of these days in Quartzite!

Safe travels,

Les
