Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Don't you hate it when that happens?????

Keep plugging away....you'll have this process licked pretty soon.  At least your first one worked.

I don't have the option of  "open with new web link" (I think that is what it said)

When you use the "unbroken chain link" in the icons above the message field, your photo's "address" goes into the top field that shows up and then one chooses the "open with new window" in the "Target" field.  You may have to click on the "pull-down" arrow to see the correct option.

Here is the link to the instructions that I wrote up and posted about embedding photos.

Guidelines Regarding Embedding Photos Into Forum Posts

In those instructions, the very first image shows a "box" with four different "addresses" to link.  When you go into Photobucket and click on the thumbnail of the photo you want to embed, you'll see that box with the addresses to the right of the "larger" picture.  Photobucket is a bit funny at times, but the idea is that all you have to do is left-click with your mouse on that bottom address which is called "IMG Code."  When one clicks on that, the address should "disappear" for a bit and you'll see a message saying something like "copied."  When that occurs, the address is then "copied" and all you then have to do is go to the body of your message and type in a title for the photo.  Then, highlight the "title" and then use the "chain link" box to embed the photo.

If you still have questions, feel free to PM me and we'll see what we can do to help you.  One thing that I always do is open a second browser or browser window to bring Photobucket up on.  Then I can just switch back and forth without having to log out of one place and log back into RV Dreams.

Good Luck

Terry

OK.  I'm losing it.  I'm giving you the wrong instructions to some degree.  The aspect of using the chain link and setting to a new window needs to be ignored.  I"m confusing the way to include a link in the forum instead of posting a picture.

So, ignore that part.

Once you've copied the IMG code from Photobucket, all you have to do is then "paste" that copied link into the body of the message.

Then use the "Show Preview" button below the message field to test to see if it is not too large.

Sorry for messing that all up.  It is entirely my fault on that.
