Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Ranier View RV Park, Graham, WA

Has anyone ever stayed here? We're looking for a place to park for 8 weeks while my broken foot heals (fell down the steps from the BR to the LR in the 5ver last week). We're currently in the Fort Lewis, WA Travelcamp at the Army base but can only stay here until the 18th…and need to be close enough to the hospital so trips back and forth are possible.

We tried the Gig Harbor RV Resort but they don't have a long term space since this is their busy season. Ranier View is about 20 miles from the base and other than the lack of trees (it's mostly a parking lot sort of park) it looks pretty nice and they do have 2 long term spaces available.

Just figured one of you may have stayed here in the past and have a recommendation pro or con.

Thanks.

You could come to Elma RV Park in Elma, Wa. Not sure where your hospital is but call and ask for Rea, the manager who handles long term. Very reasonable rates. 360-482-4053. Tell Rea Sherry & Jesse sent you. Looks like you're 15 minutes N of Olympia and we're about 28 miles SE of Olympia.

We've stayed at Rainier View in the past, but it's been quite a few years ago. (2000 and 2002),  Was good when we stayed there. In fact, lady in the office gave us some freshly baked cookies when we checked in.

Checked on RV Park Reviews and it looks like it has mixed reviews.  http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Washington/Graham.html

We really enjoyed the view.

Sorry to hear about your broken foot. cry

Good luck,

Jim

Jim and Linda,

I read this review and am wondering if you aren't confusing that park with Elma as we do the homemade cookies here at Elma and there was no mention of them on the link at Ranier?

Sounds like a nice park tho'.

You can also try Riverbend Campground, which is on the east side of the Olympia area and not far from JBLM (Fort Lewis) - http://www.rvparklist.com/rvpark/12487/ .  Don't confuse it with Nisqually Plaza RV Park, which is right on I-5 and not very good.

Thanks all; Riverbend is out since no sewers even though it is really pretty close here. Elma is a bit farther away so we're going to check out Ranier View today and will probably check Elma out tomorrow since we're going over to Port Angeles then anyway.

No, checked and we've never been to Elma. I don't think that this was a regular thing, she just happened to have made some cookies that day and offered us a couple.
