Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Toby Keith's tour bus burns

This happened about 3 miles from our former home. Luckily no injuries and doesn't sound like TK was on board according to my buddies at the Sheriff's Dept.

News report says it was a crash but it looks to be only fire damage and the driver parked on the berm after it was discovered.

Yes, it can happen to anyone.

Those tour buses are set up differently than a normal motorhome. I talked to someone who bought one used and had to move the sewer to the driver's side. The bus had it on the passenger side with a switch on the dash so the driver could ease over and dump while driving down the road. He found out this was very common.

I guess us Okies just keep getting dumped on.  The interesting thing is that some news articles say that it was a "crash and fire," yet others state that the driver noticed the flames and then loss of power around 4:00 a.m. and pulled over.  I guess it just shows that one can't trust the news media to "get it right" all the time.

Toby Keith has a benefit concert scheduled for raising funds for the tornado victims, and it was sold out within 3 hours of the notice of the tickets being available to purchase.  I can't even begin to note all the companies and individuals that stepped up to donate money for relief.  In addition, Verizon announced that any "data overages" for the central Oklahoma area would be forgiven.  We even benefited from that as we had overages and our bill was the normal amount for the last month.

People everywhere have been out there helping Oklahomans in our times of disaster.  So, my thanks to anyone that might have donated for relief.

Terry
