Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

I wanted to take out the extra chair from my Class A to make room for a dog crate, what a pain! I thought I could just use a socket wrench, but no, no, they put locking nuts on there! I had to take it into a shop, and it took 2 guys with pneumatic tools to get it out! The one piece of furniture you might want to get rid of to make room for something else!

Well, this RV is already 10 years old, and I will be making payments for it that long. By the time I resell it, it may be too old for anyone to care much about the original configuration resale value. Plus, the dog loves his crate, it's a great look out spot on top, and he went inside for his first excursion today. Whimper, whimper, then he fell asleep. Less stress for both of us!

When I bought my camper I liked the lay out.....couch and to the right of that a dinette..........about 2 months into living in my new home, had to admit that the couch was SO uncomfortable that I never sat on it for more than 30 minutes. I decided to take the couch out and get a recliner.

In my previous home, my neighbor called me Timette the Tool Girl........(Tim Taylor from the sitcom Tool Time never could do a project without it either blowing up or falling apart.....) (That summarizes my projects aptitude to a tee!  I will always initiate projects and saw and hammer and sand etc, but inevitably will have to hire someone to fix my 'mess'.

I digress............I tried every which way to get that couch out.......turned it everyway you could think of to get it out the door......measured the window....no way was it going out tat way.............i finally grabbed a saw and cut the thing into small pieces and hauled it to the dumpster.

Though I would have loved a comfy big pillowy recliner to sit in its place, I settled for a small, yet comfy one that i did not have to manhandle to get inside the camper!!!

I have since minimized my tool collection.
