Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Gave notice at work and will be retiring from All Childrens Hospital August 23! Flying to Idaho August 27 and driving home to Florida with Andy and Ben the Wonder Dog at the end of September. Moving into the coach when we get back and then off to Rally in Franklin :). Back to Florida for the holidays and then off to first travel nursing assignment in January hopefully in AZ. It is a little scary to leave the only place I have worked since graduating from Auburn but exciting too. Ready to start the next phase of our lives together! Hope to meet lots of you out there! God bless!
You won't have any issue with finding jobs. We meet a LOT of contract nurses on the road....and more than a few doctors, too.

I am a RN myself, although when we go fulltiming next year, I was hoping to NOT do nursing any more - but it is the only
thing I know. Anyway, I would still luv to hear what it is like for you to do travel nurse. I've known a couple who have, but
none while fulltiming.
All the best!

Hoping to find jobs out there. A little nervous not sure there are lots of pediatric jobs out there but I am chemo certified so I can do infusion or adult oncology too. Just looking forward to doing something different after 31 years in one place. Hope to see you all out there.
Congratulations!! Our nieces husband did travel nursing the first few years out of college and loved it. His only reason for quitting and becoming stationary was because he wanted to settle down and raise a family for a few years. They have both started a family and are now into camping and already the two of them are talking about him travel nursing again when the kids are raised and doing it from their RV. Sound like a great way to start full timing early in life.

Congratulations on being able to separate the emotions you must be feeling and taking the plunge..... Traveling nursing
is certainly more lucrative than most workamping opportunities I would suspect.
I, too, am a nurse but, I have been doing oncology for 30 years and am feeling it.
Am hoping that the skills I have garnered over the years can be channeled into different roles along the road.
I congratulate you and wish you well on your new and exciting adventure.
I do sincerely hope you will keep us all posted in regards to your most exciting upcoming experiences!!!
Good luck and the safe travel to you!
Carol

Thanks Carol. It is emotional thinking of moving on but I am ready. I work oncology too only in Pediatrics. I love it and hope to find those jobs on the road. I have been doing it for 32 years, love kids and families. Will miss them but not the office drama.
