Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Marabombs

just to reiterate an old topic, but ....... held on to one of my goodyear marathon tires for spare. bad move, used after flat in beaumont heading west, blew up just before exit east of houston i wanted to get off to repair flat! enough damage on under carriage i repaired with sheet metal and hoping to pick-up new fender in colorado springs a few weeks down the road! if you have "marabombs" as many dreamers have said, get rid of them ALL, it really could have been a lot worse. i consider myself very fortunate, thanks to all who told us about these lousy tires!    mark

We got rid of our Goodyear Marathons shortly after we bought our 5th Wheel.
Put them on Craigslist, a lawn service guy bought them.
Also put the TST monitor system on, so far no problems.

We bought the Sailun S637 G Rated tires from http://simpletire.com/sailun-s637-tires

Good price, fast shipping at a reasonable cost.

They are LT235/85R16, 3750 Lbs at 110 Lbs.

Been running them for about a year and a half now (about 15,000 miles), no problems, heavy steel belt construction, well made tire.

The Sailun tire has been getting a pretty good reputation and seems to be a good alternative to the Goodyear G614.

Anyone have suggestions for a tire replacement brand? We have a 38 foot Bighorn fifth wheel running at 15,400 pounds. Currently have Freestar FS-574 LT235/85R16 running 110 psi, made in Jan 2008.
