Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Another Sparkling Adventure!

Hi All!  Deb and I are from Western Massachusetts.  I'm 70, she's 61.  We're distance runners, distance bikers, hikers, adventurers and are making a point of doing things that keep us aware that we can always do anything we put our mind to.  We're both semi-retired.  I'm a retired computer information systems Prof. and still do some contract programming - primarily on-line.  Deb's a former RN and semi-retired computer consultant who supports a whole variety of accounting clients... when we're not off doing something else.  We've made a point of doing adventures that erase any notion that we are limited in what we can do.  We've jumped out of planes a few times, traveled around the US and Europe, and last summer (2012) we bicycled from Astoria, OR to Rye Beach, NH. (3,765 miles).  It was amazing fun.  We biked past so many places we would have like to at stay longer.  This led to a decision to follow through on an often-discussed idea to buy a 5th wheel and go traveling around the US.  Did it!  Bought a Sanibel 3500 (now awaiting prep at Cold Springs RV in NH) and a Dodge RAM 3500 Cummins dually (great machine, great dealer, but still awaiting manufacturer since March!... don't ask).  Anyway, our total RV experience was a weekend rental and a two-week RV hiking vacation in the Cascades and B.C. with two friends.  I've spent several hundred hours researching listening to the advice of seasoned vets, and both of us can't wait to finally get on the road.  Our first goal is to do both sides of the Rockies and Cascades, from Canada to New Mexico to B.C, and then who knows.  Will we end up full-timing... maybe.  Right now we're taking our kitty and forwarding our email and we'll go exploring.  Might rent the house... might sell it... who knows.  This is going to be, exciting and fantastic!

Welcome Bob & Deb,

You have great attitudes and it sounds like your interests will fit perfectly with this lifestyle, whether
part time or full time but I know where I'll put our money.....
