Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have a 2002 Newmar Dutch Star. I have no hot water from the kitchen faucet only. The bathroom sink and shower both have hot water. I think it may be related to the bypass valve but have no idea where it would be located. Is it on the water heater?
go to your outside control panel and check the position of the valve marked kitchen hot water.......your bypass valve to the hot water is in the correct position if you have hot water in the bathroom...

normally on the drivers side compartments....one compartment will house your wet system controls ,on some coaches it will be the one where your hose connects
Just looked up Newmar....sshould be in the rear comprtments driverside....near the gate valves

Our Dutch Star is of a different year, but there is no separate valve for the kitchen in ours. We have two lines coming into our kitchen faucet, one for hot and one for cold and neither has a shut off. Could your faucet have a problem?

turn the faucet lever to hot only.....does the pressure drop or water stop?..... the bypass valve on the ho****er tank only stops water from going into the tank from the main feed...its purpose is to be able to winterize the coach without having to fill the hot watertank with 6+gallons of antifreeze the bypass would have to be in the open position to get hot water in the bathroom........wish I was there to look for you ....your hot water from the sink goes directly to the output side of the heater ....there should be a Tee there with one line going to the bath and one forward to the sink

I fixed it. I now have hot water in the kitchen faucet. The hot water comes when the faucet is tilted towards the cold side...not sure why but at least I have hot water.
