Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I needed to send some hearts to the Mom's on here as tomorrow is their Day!!! Thought about this earlier as my Mom passed on just after my 16th Birthday. A victim at the age of 61 to Alzheimers'. I have to remember the good times I had from the early ages up to my 12th Birthday; won't go into the rest. If your Moms' are still alive; tell them in person; if not say a little prayer; it will be heard!!!

Spent the weekend with Mom in the Rig.....the Wife , Me and Mom went out for dinner, took a walk, cooked, visited with some of our neighbors, and generally had a Blessed weekend....Happy Mothers Day Moms....
Hopefully our last Mom's Day without anyone outside of DH and I to celebrate and certainly the last year I spend Mom's day working on the blasted house!!!
Really hoping next year that we're FT and finding art shows in TX, TN or OK that we can combine with a Mom's Day celebration. Last year we were able to be near a niece and her family when we were doing art shows near them, hoping in the future we can continue to combine our art shows with family visits to make life more enjoyable!!
If you are considering shows in Oklahoma, check out An Affair of the Heart here in Oklahoma City. It is an annual affair and always draws a lot of people. The link shows that it goes on in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa. I know nothing about what it takes to be a vender there, so that you will need to research that yourself. I wouldn't even know what questions to begin asking.

Terry - that is one that is already on the "list to consider", but that's 2014, so right now I need to get through the next few months. Will let you and Jo know when we're headed back to OK, you know we won't stay away from the grandtwins for too long. Just had a great "Mom's day" conversation with our daughter and her twins, both kids wanting to know when we were coming back for a visit. LOL - they want to know when we're coming back to the hotel with the indoor pool, they weren't excited to know that we might have our house on wheels that doesn't include a pool the next time we're in town. Might need to find an RV park with all the ammenities when we visit the grandtwins:)
I didn't mean to hijack the Mother's Day thread, so I should chip in here and also wish a Happy Mother's Day to all those intrepid ladies that undertook the duty of raising children. You all deserve all the accolades that we men can give you.
Oh, and Ruth,
Twin Fountains in Oklahoma City (right next door to us) has both a pool and a muddy pond. So, you could threaten the Grandtwins with the pond if they don't behave. (Some Moms also deserve a means of revenge.)

Terry - thanks again, keep in mind that my grandtwins are actually my "step-grandtwins". My daughter has lived with me since I married her Dad when she was 9 years old, the best definition I ever heard of a stepmom (of which I'm honored to be) is a Mom who stepped in when the "bio mom" stepped out. 3 years after her bio Mom left to "find herself" Dale and I met and 20+ years later I'm still honored to be called Mom!! Today's call with my daughter and grandtwins was sweet, I miss not being right there, but then again it makes the visits so much more special. I love being a Mom and Grandma, even if there's a "step" in the relationship. However, any Mom who helped a kid navigate junior high, learn to drive, get through senior prom/senior year, etc. has more than earned the "mom" title, IMO.
