Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Took the first step

DW and I have been planning on fulltiming once she retires in 3 years. We've been really studing and evaluating different 5th wheels for full time use. Then during the winter MH's became a possibility after seeing a floor plan the DW loved and could live with. Well we signed the papers on a 2012 Winnebago Journey 40U last night. It has 20,000 miles on it but is classified as new because it has never been titled before. It seems that Winnebago gives the president of the Winnebago club a new RV to use each year and this was his unit, and it's fully optioned out. We hadn't planned on buying this far before the DW retires, but with 3.5 interest rate on the loan and the purchase price about $50,000 less then I've seen identical unit on line going for we just couldn't pass it up. This will give us 3 years to get the MH set exactly the way we want if once we go full time.
