Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have not been to any of the popular rally's so cannot comment if they are there or not but we do occasionally see them being made at flea markets/festivals. I think we paid around $40 for the one we have and that was about 5 years ago.
Good luck,
Phil

I see them from time to time at events. We paid $25 for a redwood sign with multi-colored lettering a few years ago in Quartzite. This guy always seemed to be busy through the 3 week show.

The only place I've seen these recently is Hazen, PA. I never checked prices but the gentleman is usually fairly busy. Since there is no power on site he runs a generator for the router.
Hazen won't open until the spring but I still know some that set up near him if you're still interested.
Mike, we see a lot of these sold at art and craft shows in the Pacific NW, usually not something the artist is making right onsite, but will take orders for specific names. We definitely see a greater number of these at shows near lakes, rivers, in the mountains, etc. than we do at any show in the cities. Very popular in the locations where folks have second homes, ie. Mammoth Lakes CA, Sandpoint ID, Chelan WA, etc. They also seem to be popular at the holiday shows.
I've seen prices in the $20-$40 range depending on the length of the name or the saying and how much extra detail was put into the piece. Of course, wood in our part of the country is relatively cheap compared to much of the nation and fairly easy to come by so not sure our price points are good comparisons.
Thanks Every one.........it is something Im probably going to add back to my small money machine...........gotta find something to keep me busy this year.

DW and I were in North Dakota the summer before the big flood and attended the state fair. While we were at the state fair there was a sign maker there and made us a really nice sign for a reasonable price so I would think that you could make some money doing it. If I am still in EB for the rally and mike you show up I could show it to you it is really neat.
I MAKE SIGNS OUT OF ROPE. JUST BUY THE WOOD AND CUT IT TO SIZE. VERY EASY TO DO. ROPE COME IN MANY COLORS. YOU CAN MAKE ANY NAME YOU WANT. SET UP A TABLE AND YOU ARE IN BUSINESS. THE STARTED PRICE FOR A SIGN IS ABOUT $25.00 AND UP.
We'll buy one from you, I just have to decide what we want. Just our names, dogs also, maybe something clever ( I'm not very clever, so don't know what to put)
