Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New old guy here

For sure I'm a wannabe and probably and gonnabe. I found Howard and Linda's website as I have been investigating what it costs (FTing), which is a  wonderful find! I'll be reading all I can to see if I think I can do it. I also considered living on a sailboat, but don't like the water all that much. Land? I like the ole terrafirma!

Welcome to the forums, Clinton.

Glad to have you as part of the "family."   In addition to using the search function, also check out the "Site Map" link on the home page of Howard and Linda's website.  Also, there are a number of forum participants that have information on their own websites, which is usually located using a link in their signature areas.

Feel free to ask questions as we all tend to learn from each other.

Terry

As the others have said, there are a lot of people here to answer questions. This is one of the best sites around for information on going full time.

Thanks Mike. I've been a bit out of pocket, and haven't spent much time looking for answers, but I will.  Thanks!

I just noticed reply to anyone shows at the bottom to everyone... I was going to thank everyone, but this is easier... thanks everyone. BTW, I have a small toyhauler with a bike pulled by a 1500 Silverado with all the pulling options. Since I know I will need more space, I am tossed between starting off with what I have or bite the bullet and look for a decent size toyhauler or MH. I like the MH idea in that I can put the bike on the back and still pull a small vehicle. I can't see me without a bike, so it might have to be either a MH or a toyhauler. Of course with a nice TT, a person could carry the bike in the truck, but loading and unloading isn't easy. I want' to put together (or find) a list of pros and cons based on "family" experiences with each (MH, 5er). Again, thanks everyone.

Clinton,

If you are considering a toyhauler and motorhome, look at the Super C's.  They are a motorhome built on the chassis of a class 8 truck.  If I remember right, Gene (Genecop) has one.  I would likely work to both carry the bike in the back and tow another vehicle as well.  Just watch your weights so you don't overdo it.

Just use your search engine and use the phrase "Super C RV toyhauler" to get a start in looking.
