Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

RV Dreaming

I am new to the concept of fulltime RV living but I like the idea. I am 61 and thinking about retirement. I thought I would need to work until age 70 to be able to retire. I reaalize now that that plan was because of our "stuff". If we have less stuff we need less space. At first I just thought mobile home but then I discovered RV's, motorhomes in particular. Surprisingly my wife Donna is in agreement with me. We have our excuses for not going fulltime right now but we are talking them through. Today we are making decisions that will help us move toward the goal of fulltiming. Our possessions need to be weeded out and our bank account needs to grow. We have two adult daughters, and one twelve year old son who will be 13 in three weeks.  Right now I am thinking he will be 18 when I am 66 and can collect my Social Security. But I just don't want to wait that long. There are two RV shows in Boston next month. I will be RV dreaming there.

Welcome, Allen.

You will find this to be an excellent source of information for just about any kind of RV.  In addition, check out Howard and Linda's journals over the years and it will give you a lot of information as to issues and problems that they have had in the past.  Howard is honest enough to even write about the mistakes they make.

Also, check out the "Site Map" button on the home page.  That will take you to a lot more information about systems and even their financial information.  That can give you an idea of the costs involved with this lifestyle.

Feel free to ask questions because the only "dumb questions" are those that aren't asked in order to get an answer.

Glad you have joined the "family."

Terry
