Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New to forum

Hi! I've never been on a forum before - so afraid of "breaking the rules!" I recently read Howard's journal from the very beginning. Now I'm disappointed every time I check and there's no new post! My husband and I plan to fulltime beginning in May 2014, so we've been researching all the info we can find - books, Internet. I was so glad to find this site, which has given us an idea of day-to-day life in an RV and what we can expect when we live in one fulltime. We look forward to attending a couple of rallys to learn a lot more. I hope to learn a lot from all of you on this forum. I've been lurking for quite some time,so tonight I registered and jumped in.

Hello and welcome Sue, Yes this is such a great site and I to have been just absorbing the info from all over this wonderful site. We also have some years before hitting the road but will certainly be excited when we can do more than just a weekend here and there. We just bought our MH just over a month ago and what I have read on here has helped greatly. So many great ideas and great people willing to add a little to help. Rick and Jenn

Sue,

Welcome to the RV Dreams forums.  You have found one of the best and friendliest sites related to the RV lifestyle, whether one plans on full-timing or part-timing.  Feel free to ask questions as there is a lot of folks here with a lot of knowledge.

As far as forum "rules" go, primarily we stay away from religion and politics as much as possible and as long as you do as you already have by being courteous and polite, I doubt you will have any problems.  There is a certain amount of jovial "banter" and kidding on occasion, and I must confess that I am one of the worst of those.  What makes that bad is that I am one of the moderators of the forums.  If you ever have a question as to how to "act" on the forums, feel free to contact me via the "Private Message" function that can be found in each member's profile.  That profile can be seen by simply clicking on the member's username at the upper left side of the post.

Glad to have you as part of the "family."

Terry
