Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

ours is a Magic Chef we ordered through Walmart.com. Would not be without one of these units since we love having lots of ice in our tea!

It is the best item we have purchased...went 2 years with no ice. We had a problem with our first one. Our new one makes quite a bit more ice, however I have noticed it also puts out more heat. This summer we set it just out side the camper on a table by the door. Even our dog is "addicted" to the ice...he hears it drop and looks over at me... (We have the screen room around our awning so not really noticeable.)

We just bought the Titanium model from neighbors who got off the road. Makes ice fast but you need to take it out & put in freezer or it melts. Saw new "dents" unit at that CA place small appliances (or something like that online) for $125.00 incl shpg. We like it.

We have the Dometic Ice Maker from Cmping World that we purchased a few months ago for half price and we love it! We have had other brands and they only lasted about a year. Not sure how long this will last but so far it's been great!

If you compare them side by side with other models that may sell for less than half..You will see they are exactly the same except for the name plate. We bought an Emerson at Target for a little over a hundred bucks. There is no difference between that and a Dometic except the name and the price..It works great but keep in mind it doesn't store ice it just makes it. Some people have good luck with them and others find they don't last very long..You pays your money, you takes your chances..
