Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Rolling Retreats & DRV's

I head read Terry & Jo's posts about Rolling Retreats in Elk City, OK on this forum. In searching for our rig I think I knew every used rig in the country and many new rigs besides. We had a budget and while I would have preferred a Suites our budget fit a Heartland that RR had taken as a trade in.

We had every possible hiccup go wrong, bad tires on our trade we didn't know about, wire transfers not showing up and going to wrong bank, our truck problem mentioned in a different post and Slade (owner) had to go to Houston to fix an AC for a customer that no one in Houston could seem to fix.

They graciously let us sit on their lot while they and we worked thru problems. Killing time, I watched Slade repair a Suites that they took as a trade and he is a perfectionist. No rushing through the job to save time like so many service departments we've seen. He is smart as a whip but down to earth and easy going. We didn't meet Alicia his wife while we were there but Terry & Jo spoke highly of her as well. No pressure, no up-selling, just straight forward honest communication in a relaxed atmosphere.

The fact that Slade arrived home after pulling a new DRV from Kansas and turned around within an hour to drive to Houston to help a customer spoke volumes about his commitment to customers and is totally different than any other dealer we have heard about.

They provide sales and service only on Suites. We highly recommend watching their website for deals and service on new or used Suites.

Yep, these are the folks who sold us our 2008 Cedar Creek in May 2011. They are the real deal. Great people and dependable. If anyone is looking for an honest dealer, give them a call. You will not be disappointed.

I am hesitant to comment too much about Alicia and Slade here on the forums since folks might get the idea that I'm promoting them too much.  However, it is good to see the comments of both of you with regards to your experience with them.  Westward Ho's comment about Slade being conscientious about his work is not a surprise to us.

We have been watching the Rolling Retreats website for a couple of years now.  I am glad to hear of everyone's positive comments.  That just cements our resolve to purchase our MS from them when the time is right.  We are planning on starting out in a travel trailer.....slowly.....since we have never camped before.  Getting used to towing something behind us is going to be a special treat (ha ha) too.  It was encouraging to see them go from a used DRV dealer to selling brand spankin' new ones now too.  Keep up the great work Alicia and Slade!  We'll be seein' ya eventually.

Hey Bob & Kathy,
They have a great TT on their site right now. A bargain.

Ooooh....thanks!  We'll check it out.

The RV show is in town this week....TONS of RVs in the huge parking lot at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Tomorrow is "Senior Citizen Day" when you can get in for half price.  I can't wait until the gates open!
