Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Recently spent 8 nights on Fun Valley RV Resort. This place is a great place to relax, fish, horseshoes, bike, hike, etc. Complete with laundry mat, grocery store and restuarant onsite. Alot of aminities for a very fair price.
Hey John I have been planning on going up there for 2-3 years now and have not made it. But Ihave heard good things about it. Good to know there is some others that live in this area, I am in Artesia, maybe we can meet sometime or may see you in the mountains. We use to go to Bonito alot but you know what happen there this past summer. We are headed up to Cloudcroft this weekend.
I have been coming to Fun Valley for more than 20 years. It is a fun place but you have better like being close to your neighbor. The utilities are side by side. It is rather habit forming though. The elevation is well over 8,000 feet so the days are cool and the nights usually in the upper 40's to lower 50's. July and August bring what they refer to as the "monsoons," as it rains nearly every afternoon or evening after the 4th of July. They offer an on site band that plays 3 nights per week and the music and dancing is free to registered guest. The restaurant has some of the best food in the area and it is reasonably priced. It is an excellent family get away from that heat in the low lands.
