Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Still a wannabe

smile   So happy to find this forum again.  I used to read it regularily and then changed computers and lost it for about 7 months.  We are hopefully about 11 months away from the full time RVing.  Have not purchased a 5er yet but have narrowed it down to a few that we feel are a little better quality for the money. We will definitely be on a tight budget but have lived that way all our lives so won't be any big shock to us !  Thanks in advance to everyone for taking time to answer all my questions as I will probably have more than my share!

Welcome, Bonnie.

You make the second "Eastern" neighbor of Jo and I to sign on today.  We live in Oklahoma City and have spent a wee bit of time in Arkansas.

Glad to have you back, and especially as an active member of the forums.  While there are a lot of knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful folks here, don't forget to check out the rest of the RV Dreams website.  Especially Howard and Linda's journals with respect to the early ones where they were doing their research and planning.

Also, check out the "Site Map" link on the homepage as there is a lot of information on electrical and other systems that are utilized in RV's.

Welcome to the "family."

Terry

Thanks for the warm welcome.  I have enjoyed reading some of your blogs and I can see this is going to take some time to study them all.  We currently are considering the following 5th wheels. Older models of Deluxe Suite, Travel Supreme and Prairie Schooners.  We used to camp a lot in Nebraska and Kansas with an Aristocrat, Holiday Rambler and lived in a King of the Road trailor during our construction business season for many years. Camping and actually living in an rv is a big difference so we are looking at the most quality we can get for our money.  Any advice anyone would like to offer would  be welcome.
