Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Looking at Class C for family of five

New to this RV lifestyle. My wife and I along with three small children. (all under age of 5) are looking for a Class C to take family vacations with. We are partial to the bunk bed option. We have been looking at Jayco Greyhawk and Nexus Phantom. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Nikemikey,

Have you considered a travel trailer or toy hauler pulled with a crew cab pickup, suv, suburban, van or navigator type vehicle ? You'll get a lot more for your money plus you will have a vehicle to take day trips with to sight see.

A toy hauler allows you to carry bicycles and other toys conveniently to keep the troops entertained through out the trip.

Once you practice towing a trailer, they are as easy to drive as a Class C.

Whatever type of RV you choose tyr to find a floor plan where the bathroom isn't next to the master bed. A lot of Class C's are setup with the bathroom and master bedroom areas combined. That means anytime one of the little ones needs to go...you get to wake up. Some of the toy haulers have a toilet and sink in the garage/kids sleeping area for the kids to use and a full bath in the master bedroom area for the parents.
