Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
What is that saying about life goes on and things change???
Well, I'm not a new member, but many things have changed and I thought it was time for a little re-introduction.
When I first joined this forum almost 2 years ago I had a dream of going RVing fulltime. I had a significant other with a 5th wheel and a house and job in Austin, TX.
Well, late last year things came to an end with the significant other. And work in Austin came to a screeching halt. It was time to make changes.
So my house in Austin in on the market and I've met someone wonderful named Kevin. We met while working at Amazon in Coffeyville, KS last holiday season. So we're a workamping romance.
We're traveling in Kevin's 23 foot travel trailer and pulling it with my Avalanche. A good partnership. We're looking for a larger "us" home on wheels, but want to find the right one, so we're taking our time and checking out options.
We're engaged to be married this summer and currently working our first workamping job together managing Branson View Campground in Branson, MO. You can check us out at the link below. The picture of the travel trailer is us. That's Kevin's Jimmy parked in front. It's going to take a little break in MO while we travel for a bit.
Next major stop from here will be North Dakota for the summer and then back to Amazon in Coffeyville, KS. We figure they should throw us a wedding reception or something!
