Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Sorry, been absent from the community for a bit. But things didnt work out with me and my last bf. But I now getting married in June to a wonderful man who knows all about RVs from travelinging with his dad for years. So my fiancee says that next year when we have saved some money we can go down to the big show in AZ, and get our own RV. We can than be full time. It will be us two, my daughter who by then will be 4 1/2 and my cat. I am excited!!!! Unless of course we find one here locally before that. I can't wait to get on the road! I am so lucky to have found such a great guy who knows all about RV's and can teach me the ins and outs.
Just wondering if you're planning on home schooling? We'll be heading out to full timing this winter and will be bringing along our 2 yr old. My husband jokes that if we home school, she'll be the dumbest kid around! LOL! For now, we're planning on having a permanent home by the time she's in school. We're on a quest to find the "perfect" state.
My niece, husband and her two small children did just that. Her oldest is in kindergarten now and she home-schooled him. They wanted to settle somewhere before he started 1st grade. They were on the road for a little over a year and now they are settling in Ft. Collins, CO. They said that they would not have changed anything and were so happy that they took the time to travel with their children. They met some nice people, visited some great places and now their son has tons of Junior Ranger badges to show for his travels. Good luck to you. I hope you find it as rewarding as they did.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! We've been feeling a little guilty about taking our 2yr old on the road! Just the thought of taking her away from her extended family and a house with her own space!
Since her oldest is now 5 the youngest girl was just 2 last week. She is having a ball and is trying to keep up with her brother in getting the junior ranger badges. They created a blog so each day when she posts, she has pictures of the children so that way, those who follow it, can see them. They are having fun and enjoying the children at this young age.
Yep we homeschool now. Mostly right now we just do a few pages out of a workbook a few days a week. and she also has her leap pad that she plays educational games on. but when she is older and more school age there is lots of programs online. We plan to have more kids and homeschool them too.
Congratulations on both the upcoming wedding and the decision to full time. You have a few years to go before you really need to decide whether to homeschool or settle somewhere. In my opinion the education your daughter will get from seeing new places and interacting with others in those places will outweigh any drawbacks from taking her on the road. She and you are in for the experience of a lifetime. Good luck with it and maybe we will meet somewhere down the road.
Ira and Vicky
