Hi and Welcome. We are fulltimers for about a year now and made the decision after thoroughly researching many of the topics you will find here,as well as asking lots of questions. You will find this a very friendly and informed place.

Prior to going F/T, we had RV's of every type for 40 yrs and often encountered RV'ers where one of the couple or partners was handicapped. In fact this summer we were camped next to some folks whose situation seemed quite similar to yours. The lady did all the driving and set-ups,gladly to, as you put it, enjoy the travel.She told me that her husband sometimes became frustrated that he couldn't do more,and he shared the same feelings with me too, but agreed there was nothing like it. I've seen other folks throughout the years. All were travelling in Class A's which makes the most sense, I would think.

As you know, it takes courage and committment to deal with handicap. It takes a little courage and committment to full-time, as well. You both already have that,so go for it.

Don't know about sources for RV's for folks with disabilities, but I do recall seeing some that had been specially modified at a dealer somewhere. Perhaps others will chime in on this.

Finally, campground rating websites like www.rvparkreviews.com will show you if a park or campground is dog friendly. We've never had a problem. We travel with 2, I've seen lots of folks with three.

A lot of work to get to F/T, but worth it. You found a great place to start.

Welcome

We are new here as well.  We plan to be full time on the road by October of 2013.  My husband also has some disabilities and mobility problems but is not using a wheel chair.  I will be doing some if not most of the driving.  The whole process is a bit overwhelming I must say.  Rest assured, there seem to be many of us who are in the preparation stage.  Fortunately we are not wandering all alone.  These folks have a wealth of information.

BTW, we have never RV'd either.
