Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have spent the last 8 days boondocking and trying out our new rig. I happy to report everything went fantastic, we had a great time and we came back "home" today.
After parking our rig we went into our S&B house and did the usual things we do after a camping trip like bring in the laundry, go thru the mail yadda...yadda. After only about 10 minutes it was then we both decided that our house of 15 years did not really feel like "our house" anymore. It was the weirdest feeling....I am still trying to process it, but I had no wish to say in my S&B home any longer.
As the day progressed, this afternoon my sister, the neighbor and my brother in law stopped by. $800 dollars later they left with tons of stuff that thankfully I won't have to put in our yard sale.
As I type this post at 8:22pm, we are comfy and cozy in our rig snuggled down with the dogs out in the yard of our S&B house.
I suppose that my post of last week "does it ever really feel like home" has just been answered....funny how you make the transition....but I am glad I now have my answer.
On ward...and up ward....we are home!

We went out shopping today and got tons of new goodies for our new home. We got a portable ice maker, new ceramic heater, battery charger, some plastic drawers for my craft stuff and 75 ft. of flat discharge hose for the macerator that came today for the DH, 100 ft if new fresh water hose and some other stuff.
Next week I am getting the Surge protector, water regulator and we decided to get the Dishnetwork Tailgater system.
I managed to get my entire bedroom, closet and bathroom cleaned out in the S&B today...tomorrow I am going to start on our basement (that should be fun).
So...things are moving along pretty good..but our rig is filling up fast now....I can definatly see once I run out of room I am going to have to go thru things AGAIN and make second decisions on keeping stuff.
Sick to think the stuff I got rid of yesterday cleaning out the bedroom. I only kept 1 medium sized rubber made container of stuff, my son carried out 9 huge boxes filled to the brim of junk....cobwebs and all! LOL
