Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are Brad and Nancy from Kansas. We have looked forward to going full time and are now realizing the dream.. It is a new chapter for us and we have been going through all the tensions involved with selling a home and getting rid of our stuff. Our grown kids have been supportive and I am looking to buy a motorhome in late April. I may have a few questions regarding what to tow behind and experience with different brands of motorhome. Used to run an RV dealership in the 70's so we have some basic understanding. It is very helpful to see the answers to various questions by those of you who are already living on the road. We DJ as a hobby and have done weddings and parties and are hoping this could translate into a little extra income while we travel. New grandaughter due in Aug, Golden, CO, so I know where we will be then but otherwise we are going to make it up as we go. Brad.
Wow ... If you were an RV Dealer in the 70s, you probably have a great deal of "hands-on" knowledge about the RV Industry and the "good, the bad, and the ugly" in buying a quality RV product. I would be interested in your thoughts as a former dealer about the buying & selling process and avoiding an RV with significant problems. I would think although your experiences are 40 years old, the principles remain the same.
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. I would say that with your experience, you already have a "clue" as to what is going on. Feel free to ask questions if you need to "fill in the gaps." There are a lot of RV'ers here with motorhomes that will be helpful to you.

Brad and Nancy, Congratulations! Where at in Kansas? We started our adventure 2 years ago in April and have enjoyed every minute of it. We will be up around the Manhattan area in May for about 6 weeks to visit grand kids.
A lot of GREAT FOLKS on here with knowledgeable information so ask away! Dave

Thank you all for your friendly reception. We are located in Leavenworth, Kansas and are in the middle of liquidating a lifetime of stuff, on the road to a new lifestyle. We are big Jayhawk fans and hoping for the best during March Madness. Our goal is to be on the road in June. Thanks again for your hospitality.
