Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We are Brian and Sharon Jones. I have been reading Howard's and Linda's journal as well as this forum for quite sometime now. We love hearing about others adventures and the fulltime lifestyle. Over the last few months we have made the decision to go fulltime. We are planning on selling our 2 year old dream home in about 1 year, then moving into our 07 Jayco 322fks travel trailer. We'll stay in our current jobs for a few months after that to give notice and save some more money. We have several ideas and plans for supporting ourselves on the road. We have a hectic year ahead trying to get rid of stuff, storing other stuff, and selling 2 extra vehicles. Plus, many mods on the truck and trailer to make them suitable for fulltiming. Also, we will be debt free opon the sale of the house. Anyway, any advice is appreciated and hope to see y'all out there.
Welcome to being an active participant at the RV Dreams forums. We look forward to any questions and comments that you can share with us. It will help to have an additional member with a travel trailer.

Just left your neck of the woods after doing some gate guarding in the oil fields. We also lived in our unit for a while getting things lined up and ready to go, would have stayed put longer but DW got laid off so we decided to head out a little earlier than planned and launched last October.
Don't be afraid to ask questions or offer advice, this is a very friendly and informative forum.
Welcome to the family!

Welcome aboard! Most everyone here has been where you are now. I have found there is no right or wrong way to approach the "life on the road adventure". My wife and I will be reporting to our first workamper assignment in about a week. Circumstances have changed a couple of times, so we just altered our plan to meet the new realities such as the ecomony and our house not selling.

Welcome to RV-Dreams, Brian & Sharon! We recently accepted an offer on our dream home as well and are furiously cleaning out the house before the closing in a couple of weeks. In the mean time we're living in (and packing) our motorhome that is parked in the driveway next to the house. We too started our planning about a year ago but honestly didn't think there would be this much work involved cleaning out our "stuff"! Believe me, your year will go by quickly!

Welcome Brian and Sharon! We're just about to start our fulltime adventure as well. We need to be in Branson, MO for our first workamping job starting Monday morning.
Like Ron and Joan, we're in the last throws of getting rid of stuff and cleaning the house. I can only say I had no idea how long that part would take! So much stuff!
My best advice is to start early with getting rid of stuff...
