We are fulltimers and are involved with 2 church building groups. We volunteer on church builds all over the USA and have been doing it for 4 years. While we are on a build we generally participate at the church we are working on. In between these projects we use the internet to look for churches in whatever area we are in. We look on the lists for churches that have their own website. It will give you location times of services and checking out their photos will give you an idea of how to dress. I got rid of my suits when I hit the road so we look for churches with informal dress. Are you familiar with Care-a-vaners for people with RVs that want to volunteer with HfH. If you are interested in working on a church-build, there are several groups to choose from.
We also listen to podcasts from the church we attend while visiting our daughters for 2 months each year.

Some of the RV Resorts have groups who travel to local churches for services. You sign up and meet somewhere on the resort grounds and then travel together to the church.

Occasionally we just watch church services on TV if we are uncertain of the area or in a remote area away from towns.

We have been to several campgrounds ( Myrtle Beach, SC & Sevierville, Tn areas ) & they had church services at the campgrounds.

While stationary, we find a local church to visit. If unable to visit and have good wifi, we stream from from a church that broadcast their service live. If that is not possible, we take time for personal worship. Church is where the heart is, not where the building is - my opinion.

While we're not full timing yet, when we do we're luckey because our church simul-cast (?sp) both our services live every sunday, so we can stay connected this way via the internet.

Great question. That has been one of the biggest challenges for us the last almost 3 years since we began full-timing. We have attended a number of churches with folks as part of the NOMADS group. Other times we take our chances and pick one out nearby. (Which we have decided to do this Sunday.) We usually end up downloading a sermon from a good source and listen to it our motorhome most Sundays.

On a different subject, we also belong to Care-A-Vanners and have participated in CAV and local Habitat builds around the country.

Thanks for all the great ideas! Certainly those who full-time can and do enjoy various groups as they travel. We'll just try to plug into a group that also enjoys worship on Sunday, although I guess this could change week-to-week or month-to-month, depending how much you actually travel in between locations.

Tim and Cindy: We attend a local church of our faith wherever we are. We use the internet to find them and get their times. Our church membership is still back home where we left as we get back there approximately every 6 months for medical care. We send them our tithes. we then give small offerings to the churches we attend along the way. While parked somewhere for an extended period of time we try to find the one we like and attend that one regularly.

We have been fulltime a year this upcoming March 21st and have yet to fail to find a church of our faith. My DH has not missed a weekend service and I have only missed one - the last weekend we worked at Amazon. The work had killed me.

Answer to Q# 2:
Yes, we just pick a church in the vicinity of where we are at the time. We didn't care about the demoniation if our particular one wasn't close.
Most have been rewarding experiences in meeting new people and occassionally explaining the RV life style. Those where we didn't "connect" with a particular church didn't matter. The primary goal for us was to worship.
