Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Branson View RV Park

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about Branson View RV Park outside Branson, MO.  We just got a work kamping offer there and are looking for more information on the park.

Go to http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/Missouri/Branson.html and look at reviews. Camper review will probably tell a lot about management and work load.

Thanks Ken. We checked that out. The park has new owners, so hard to say right now...

So it's official...  We accepted the workamping job at Branson View Campground.  We've learned a few things.  The park is in receivership and they want us to manage all the day to day operations and get things back up and running while that is the case.  In addition to dealing with the guests we will be making sure prospective buyers see the park at it's best.   Should be interesting...

We know this is likely to be a lot of work for the money, but we both like the idea of not having much in the way of day to day supervision and also  being able to make a difference in how a park is operating.  We figure it will give us great experience for future assignments as we will pretty much have done it all when it comes to running a campground!

Oh, we'll also be hiring another workamping couple once we get there so we can have a day or two off, so if you know someone who would like to be in the Branson area, send me a message!

According to the national news the City of Branson had a little trouble with the recent tornados. Did the RV park suffer any damage?

Looking at the map of damage, no.  But we're waiting on official word from the management company.  If it did it will just mean our job got bigger to get the park ready for visitors by April 1!

Congratulations on the job, Carol. Sounds like a big job, but I'm sure you guys can handle it. We're officially hired at Amazon for around mid-October and will be staying at Big Chief again.

We arrived here March 23rd and have been swamped getting the park back in shape and systems in place. Wanted to let you all know we now have a website up and running. It's a work in progress, but at least you can see where we are at and what the rates are... www.bransonviewcampground.blogspot.com

Things are starting to pick up some now that the weather is getting nicer.  It's good we didn't have a ton of guests the first couple of weeks.  Kevin cleared out a couple of years worth of fallen leaves and got the water/sewer working (no small task).  I've been bringing the office operations into the current century.    So far I've installed a new computer system, Campground Master (to replace the slips of paper that previously served as the reservation system) updated Passport America, revised the rates, got us an email and a functioning (if basic) website.

We sure are learning a lot!

Wow! Would have liked to get over in that area; Heard a lot about Branson! Good luck and much success. I am at a the Mammoth Caves Yogi Bear Resort Park until mid-May then off to Beech Bend Splash Lagoon in Bowling Green; Ky until the end of Sept. Hope to Fly to NYS to visit my Sister and Brother and the relatives in October then back to Amazon; Ky until Dec. and then somewhere warmer for Winter.
