Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Based upon all the years of working on houses, vehicles, equipment, electronics, RVs ...etc. I've built up a rather large library in my brain to draw from anytime I run into a problem. I do refer to the manuals for each item I'm working on (A/C, Refrig, ice maker...etc). A lot of the capability to troubleshoot and repair comes from experience.
There is a website where you can find a lot of RV related repair stuff It is:
Since becoming fulltimers a few months ago, we've had to do several repairs on our 5th wheel. I'm wondering what is your favorite RV repair/maintenance manual?
Seems like Trailer Life's & Woodalls manuals are both pretty good, any others?
I'll have to agree with Ken on the internet. Plug in the name of an appliance and the model number and you'll get all the info you could ever want. Another very good source is the "owner forums", I have used them several times and received great answers.
