Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
A toyhauler would be perfect for what you need. Now days toyhaulers are available in travel trailer, motorhome and 5th wheel models.
Once you unload the cart you'll have a nice space to put up tables & other stuff to work your crafts.
We actually decided on two mobility scooters instead of a golf cart. That way I can go where I want to go and my DW can go where she wants to go or we can go to the same place together. We've set them up like golf carts with canopies for shade and cup holders. Both have baskets and holders for golf club bags. We found both on Craigslist, hers had only been used once and the one I use looks nearly new. The cost was about $300 less than a used golf cart.

If you want to buy a motor home and tow a vehicle (rather than buy a truck to tow a trailer), you will find lots of folks who load a golf cart into the bed of a P/U truck which is used as your towed. Otherwise, the toy hauler sounds like a good idea. I just am not sure I want to haul around all of that empty space just to have room for a golf cart.
I would have to be a pretty avid golfer to haul a cart around fulltime. To use it just to run around the campground would not be worth it to me.......but thats just me. You need to take whatever works for you.
Now that I think about I saw a 5th wheel with an attached swivel wheel trailer behind just for a golf cart. So folks do it!
We looked at those swivel wheel trailers...called Idaho Totes. $8000 plus shipping or you have to go to Idaho to pick them up. Too much for my blood.
We saw those totes too and you are right...way to expensive if you ask me!
We can get a small covered trailer for a lot less and we might even have to consider that if I can't find a toy hauler I like. I am just not to excited about pulling anothr trailer behind our fiver....KWIM?

While the idea of double towing is not new, and it would be helpful, you would need to research which states would allow it. Some states don't allow the double towing and almost all other states restrict "vehicles" to a certain length. Most states might have a limit of 65 feet, but others might be less.

Your right Terry! My DH was telling me the other day that alot of the Eastern states don't allow double towing. I doubt we will do it, if I can't find a decent toy hauler we are just going to scrap our "golf cart" idea. We plan on coming back here to Michigan in the summers so the DH can use his golf cart then!
