Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

In an effort to validate the positions spoken of, I e-mailed Mr. Theil and requested more information as to who he was, where the jobs would be located, and what the jobs were about.  I also asked about amenities that would be provided for the workkampers.

Below is the reply that I received from him:

Terry,
In response to your email, five years ago my wife and I were hired as campground hosts at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI.  We worked there for five years but had to quit this year due to health reasons.  We became friends with the woman we worked for and told her we would be glad to try to find two couples to work the races.  As compensation, when we worked, we received a camping spot with electricity.  Since camping is spread out, we also got a golf cart and a two-way radio to keep in touch with the office and a small salary.  Of course, all of these things would be up to Race Track.  I am just acting as sort of a screening agent for our ex boss.  This is how we found another couple to help us for awhile.  Basically you get there on Wednesday and set up, work Thursday, Friday & Saturday checking in campers, then you have Sunday off to watch the races ( or leave if you are not interested in racing.)  There are three races in June, one in July and one in August when they need campground hosts.  Again, it would be up to our former boss as to which races she would need help with.   If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to email me.  Thanks, Norm

Howard felt that since this could be a legitimate offer, we would not delete it nor move it to the Classifieds section.  I hope this is helpful for interested parties.
Terry
