Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
If you are using your rig for travel at all I strongly recommend this basic upgrade.Most of the basic factory spring suspension systems are really pretty basic and not intended to actually be used over a large number of miles.Most of these basic systems have no way to lubricate these parts that have a lot of wear and tear put on them.They can “ream out” and you can have the springs actually come off the axles.
In the economy upgrade department these are a really good idea for anyone that actually travels and doesn’t want to go all the way to a full suspension upgrade.IMO, this isn’t something to do “later” after we get some miles on the rig.Consider it before you have a problem.
BTW, I had considered this kit back a few years ago but decided to upgrade to a full MOR/ryde IS system after speaking with the factory.Very glad I did for a lot of safety reasons that turned out to be valid.Nonetheless, I’ve seen the kit and it is a good idea.
The best thing to do is to switch to Mor/Ryde IS suspension. But if you are not going to do that, then going to the wet bolt kit is a required upgrade, IMO.

For those whose budget can work it in, I couldn’t agree more. I just had an “interesting” experience in the middle of nowhere New Mexico and the Independent Suspension really saved the rig – literally.All this heavy duty stuff (like “H” tires) really matters when something goes wrong and the MOR/ryde IS really came through. All good now.
Thanks to all the advice. We purchased this unit with the plan of full timing. Once our house sells, we will be in a better position to upgrade to Mor/Ryde IS. For now, the wet bolt kit is more affordable.

I installed them when I added the equa-flex system to my trailer. Living in Louisiana and having to travel I-10 to leave town I wanted a better ride. I found the oem bushings were worn out with only 4000 to 5000 miles on the trailer. I don't think you can go wrong with the upgrade.
Jerry, I'll probably get jumped on for this but in my opinion for the weight range your Cedar Creek is in I would investigate closely if the cost of the Mor/Ryde IS is really necessary.Mine had the Trail-Air Equa-Flex system and it performed well and I was planning on the wet bolt kit before I sold it as the only upgrade. If your Cedar Creek like many already has the equa-flex and you are unhappy then the Mor/Ryde is the only way to go.I have been wrong before but this is just one man's opinion.
