Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Mof line across tv every 12 " or soy new problem is as followed. put in a 1000 watt pure sine inverter. the main problem is my flat panel show some kind of interferance. there are lines, intermitance ( I assume signal) flat screen is putting aprox 6" of signal interferance every 15 " or so.innerferance lines on video screen reseach says to bundle excess wire, playing with length of wire from inverter to battery. spent hours tring. research. i still have line accross tv,as interferance.i cant fix. my question is , is there a something thing that someone can suggest to clean up interferance, in between inverter tv after it leaeves inverter. it pure sine 1000 watt 60 mghz freq
Does the problem appear on all inputs? That is on a DVD playback, satellite, off-air (antenna) and the like. Can you isolate it to the TV as opposed to a single device feeding the TV?
Is the voltage from the inverter at least 105+ volts measured on a good meter?(Not the $18 plug-in one from Camping World that is basically useless in this case.)
Forgive the question, but are you sure it is a full sinewave inverter and not a “modified” sinewave inverter? Some inverter providers do a wonderful job with “marketing” and sort of fudge the facts. (Seen this before.)
Papper work states pure sine. Only have Dvd at present time no other off line Tv devices. shore line through dvd to watch a move no interferance, its the only other way its been used. I will get better meter to check volts. When I turn on invert it flashes 14 .3 at high also 0.0 i assume 0.0 watt hours. not sure what other # is tring to tell me. at present I have 2 -12 deep cycle batterys in bank, I want to out more in battery bank I need to figure out where to mount holders to put extra batterys for bank then decide 6 volts or 12. leaving tommorrow heades south for winter, as this will be my first trip with inverter on board, I will find oout more , if my research and things i learned from hershey seminars. I figured1 000 watts of inverter should do the job. Now I will just have to see how it works out. Aleast I feel like I have a general knowledge.

Just sort of guessing here, but the 14.3 is probably the input voltage from the batteries to the inverter. The 0.0 is either the amp draw from the batteries or most likely watts being delivered by the inverter. When you first turn it on it would be "zero."
The fact you (seem to) have 14.3 volts to the inverter tells me that your battery charger is on somehow.Batteries seldom show that much voltage under load unless the battery charger is on and charging.
Is it possible that the rig is plugged in such that the battery charger is “on?”Just a wild guess, but sounds like DC ripple out of a battery charger. The batteries should filter that out, but nonetheless just a shot in the dark.(I’m leaving a bunch of stuff out here to not complicate the note.)
I have no charger in inverter, just the invert. when i turn inverter on with no load on it at all , the reading ie 13. 4 , other reading is 00.. Im using it now why the better half is driving, its a steady 14.1, 00, i have a lap load on it for about 15 minutes. last night we watchted a move with iterferance during the entire movie, maybe about a hour. the reading started at 13.4 at the end of the move before i turned off inverter for the night it wasdown .1 to 13.3. neglected to check what the other. Only fist night on road will call manufacture when i get a chance. THank for you attention to my post. after I reach destination will give it more detailed time.but it seems to me im not hurting it anyway, thats a good thing, all other loads seem to have been fine.

OK 13.4 is a new number from 14.3 in your previous post. That's nominal off batteies alone. Good luck finding something. Hard to trouble shoot this stuff via email sometimes.
i wil fiure out weather it can be fixed or not any thought to explore is worth reserrching. what ever i come up with ,good or bad is knowledge, and share in future
As we speak wike is using TV an DVD aprox 160 watts ,my lap top and modem60 to 80 watts.inverter reads 12.1 as soon as load
just as i outnon load , went from 14.1 to12 .4, 1 hour in laod reas 12.1.
Dont think i have a real problem, except, no clean sgnal coming from tv. if that the woast of it, and i can't make it better, I can live with it for the pleasure of live still, I just must try to figure out Y Y y interferance. thanks for your input
Hopefully, you understand that when the batteries drop below 12V they are considered discharged and are ready for a charge. If you allow the batteries to drop too far below 12V you will dramatically shorten the life of your batteries. It's not normal for a battery to show 13-14V with any amount of draw unless a charger of some kind is providing supplemental input.
instrution say it should read 14.5 on or about! at full charge ,it state will shut itself down when it gets to half charge,to conserve battery life. atleast that what it say, refering to a single battery, but I have 2 in my bank, was wondering if the reading should still reflect reading as a single battery?
I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here.
If you're trying to say that you have interference that shows up on your TV then you should
1) check all your connections
2) If you're using an antenna to get the TV signal try tuning in your antenna by changing its direction.
