Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.


We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Finally got a new camera

It seems that someone else needed my camera more than I did when we moved in to our new (to us) 08 Select Suites 36RS3, so I took the plunge and bought a new one. here we are at our current home at Whitey's Fish Camp in Fleming Island, Orange Park, Florida. It's a funky little place with interesting folks and cheap rent. Our stick and brick house is an hour north of here and Mary Kay's office is a couple of blocks away, so we have been living aboard in rather cramped circumstances in a 27'tt until we found our new fiver. The two hour daily commute was really hard on her. So, as 5/7th timers we're loving our Suites and working toward full timing

Going from 27 foot to 36 foot is like moving into a palace I bet. Enjoy the expanded space. And good luck on transitioning from 5/7th to 7/7th.

We live in the Jacksonville area and have been to Whitey's Fish Camp a number of times!  I've always wondered how life was there, living in an RV.  I know the restaurant gets pretty crowded on the weekends so thinking it might be a little bit noisy on the weekends?  How are the neighbors?  Once we sell our house we may be looking for somewhere close to stay until we tie up local loose ends.

Hi, Ron and Joan. You're right, it can get noisy here at times, especially in the sites near CR 220. Since we got our Select Suites with the 3.25 inch sidewalls, though, outside noise isn't a factor any more. The people are great and, if you can do without the resort style amenities, the living' is easy. Shopping is close and plentiful. It suits us. The next time you need your fish fix, stop by lot #6 and say "Hi". There's always a pot of coffee going.

Hi, Jerry and Carol. You're right, the extra space is great, but the change from a camping trailer to a fiver built for live aboard is incredible. We're loving it. The next step is to find a truck big enough to haul it.
