Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Washer/dryer questions for my RV

I don't know if there are already threads about this topic, but I couldn't find any. Does anyone have a washer and dryer installed in their RV? We don't but we are really looking into it. It just doesn't make sense to re-wear dirty clothes on our long trips. If you do have one installed can you tell me your experience with it? Is there a specific RV appropriate washer and dryer set up that I would have to look into? I saw a decently sized front load washer and dryer at their site but I'm not sure if they would be compatible with my RV. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks for the help.

If you use the Search function & input "washer" you'll find lots of discussions about this.

Here are two recent discussions, http://rv-dreams.activeboard.com/t45837468/washerdryer-stacks-revisited/ and http://rv-dreams.activeboard.com/t45353307/washerdryer/ .  It comes up all the time.

Using the search you will indeed find lots of discussion.Much will depend of your specific needs. We have the Splendide 2100XC which is adequate for the two of us.Took a little getting used to,but for us it offered the best combination of space use/value/performance.We are very happy with it. Others have different needs,as you will see.  Richard

We bought a motorhome last year with a Slendide 2100XC in it. It was in like new condition and rarely used prior to our purchase. My wife was in love with her stacked washer and dryer from our fifth wheel so we removed it and had our sacked units installed. We left almost imediately to go out west so we just stored it in our daughters garage. We have not previously advertised it but it is for sale for $550 which is about half price from what Camper World would sell it for new. I will place it in classified section soon.

My coach has a Splendide 2000 in it. I use it quite often and just wouldn't be without it. Of course to each his own but I wouldn't be without mine.

I am guessing this means the W/D is in Alabama?  We have a (perfectly good) Splendide but it is now 12 years old and would be nice to update.  However, we have no current travel plans that would take us that far East but I just thought I would check.
