Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
For those Chevy Lovers, we picked up our 2012 Chevy 3500HD on 10 Oct and everything happened as it was suppose to. Dealership done a great job installing the CM Hauler Bed, and the in-bed 45 gal fuel tank. They are move the Trailer Saver TS 3 to the 2012 and installed the Duraflaps on the rear of the Hauler Bed.
Had to go up to Oneonta, Ala to get the Truck, since we were already in Panama City, Fla on our way to our winter site. First Pull was from Panama City to Sebring, Fla. everything worked Flawless.. The Chevy 3500HDs is like the 2012, I did order the Moon Roof, and the electric sliding rear window.. And since its a LTZ model it has all the bells and whistles.
You should know I only buy GM Trucks... Happy Trails....
P.S. My Computer also crashed this week and it has took a while to get all the sites back up.
The CM Hauler bed is well built, the in-bed tank is built by ATTATank.com they are out of Texas. I really like this tank, has its on pump and when the OEM tank gets down to 1/4 it will automatically put fuel into the tank.

Congratulations on your new truck & 5er purchase. I visited your blog and noted that you trade trailers & tow vehicles pretty often. Have you had quite a few issues with both or just like to trade often?
We have had very good luck with all the GM Trucks and the Freightliner, we put a lot of miles on our Trucks. Did 13,600 miles on the 2011 Chevy 3500HD from 27 May till Sept 16. Haven't had any issues and never had to go back to a dealership but one time and that was because of a seat frame drivers side. That one time was 1 GM Truck, and we have owned 6 GM HD Trucks....
As for our Mobile Suite we have had very few issues. But I alway make it a point to return to the factory within the first year and get all adjustments and repair. We had to replace the ceiling fan in the bath room, the manual fan went out but we had Drv replace it with a Fantastic Fan, fullly automatic. We also had to have the bedroom slide outside lag bolts replaced, with 6 instead of 2. I love Trucks, and we have traded often, but we do believe that life is just to short and we live everyday as if its the first and last day of our lives... We told the kids there will be no money left but they will get the 300 acre Farm. We aren't full timing now but are thinking about going back full timing again. The stick house is just a lot of negative cash flow.. We try to spend 8+ months a year on the road, and it take lots of upkeep to have a house sit empty most of the year, think TAXES, TAXES. Happy Trails...
