Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Gonnabe Newbie

Hello all, my SO and I have been camping our whole lives and figured it was time to get off the ground and into an RV.  I RV'd with my folks as a teenager but never had anything more than a van with an air mattress in it myself.

We're 52 & (soon to be) 51, acheived debt free status a couple of months ago and decided to leave the rat race behind in the next year.  We're putting our house on the market, shopping for a used Roadtrek, and hitting the road for (hopefully) at least a year.  We have to go back to work in some capacity as we're no where near retirement... but spending a year or so on the road exploring might just open up new doors for us!

Welcome to the forum,

Sounds like a plan to me--all the best.  Love the sunset picture.

Thanks B&C, don't know how I ever ended up landlocked... I'd really prefer to wake up (or go to sleep) to the sun on the ocean.

Great plan. Welcome to the forum. Great people here who have tons of experience. Your time frame is about the same as ours. We wish you well on achieving your dream.

Thanks. If you take a look at our blog, you will see we have fur babies - thus the name.

welcome to the forum Queen. I hear you about the ocean. I love the shore. The sounds, smells and even the foggy rainy weather you quite often find there.

I think you have a great plan and certainly one that is doable. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

Ira and Vicky
