Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We recently retired and are anxious to e-mail with others who like the freedom of hitting the open road in their RV's. We love to travel and see this graet country of ours. We hope to become fulltimers some day soon. We love to look at how things were in the past . The time before the whiteman when this land belonged to the red man. We truely love the four corners area of the souhwest.
My wife judy loves to Travel, camp and cook in our RV. She is also an artist. So we like to trave looking for that special veiw to paint. I do wood carving, Fish and walking sticks as a hobbie. We both love to fish and do it as often as we can.
We have an 11 1/2 ft truck camper that we use mainly for our traveling. It also allows us to tow a boat behind it. We have a few. We also have a 33 ft. 5th wheel that we use for close to home camping and extended stays.
I am a Veteran (US Army) from 1968 to 1978. Mostly in the pacific theater. we have 4 childeren and 13 grandchilderen.
We own a 2004 Eagle Cap 1150 truck camper and a 2001 Excel 33ft 5th wheel. Out tow vehicle is a 2007 Dodge 1 ton dually.
We have family in Colorado, Oregon, New Mexico, California, Tennessee, Kentucky. and Virginia. We prefer to go out west mostly though.
Welcome to the forum. Another member of Team Dodge. I too am a vet (67-76 half in Germany). Full timing starts with a dream and then a plan. You've landed on a friendly group who are full of experiential wisdom. This is a good place to ask questions when searching for real answers. Several forum members maintain blogs to keep family/friends updated on their travels. Makes for interesting reading. Looks like you have an interesting hobby that will follow you as you travel.
