Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Escapees.com is also down so it looks like their internet is down since they run both servers in house. I wish I knew what was going on but I am sure they are working on it and am not going to call to find out.

I hate that. All the major players feel they own your machine and make these kind of changes. Somehow a Google Earth update also installed Chrome and made it the default browser and getting everything set back right was a mess. Don't get me started on iTunes. Firefox hasn't messed me up yet, but they are the little guys when compared to Microsoft, Google and Apple. Internet providers like Comcast and Verizon can be just as bad. A guy came to the helpers at an Escapade since he thought his notebook was working on wifi. Turns out his DSL provider had set his home page to something that only displayed if he was on DSL, otherwise it failed. Easy fix, change his homepage.
Anyway Escapees is still unavailable and I have tried both Hughes.net satellite internet and a Verizon aircard.
Too bad it is wet here in Seaview, WA, otherwise I would be outside doing something.

An update on what happened from a report on the forum. The Telco station south of Escapee's headquarters was broken into by copper thieves and a bunch of copper wire was stolen. I remember being in a campground in Las Vegas a few years back and asked why the street lights were out next door and the answer was copper thieves.
