Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I've had my blog up for awhile, but have been hesitant to post the link. I don't know why, except that unlike most of you and most of the blogs I follow, I just don't think I'm a very good writer.
Hey, this is great. Another DRV owner I can follow. I've signed up as a follower and will be watching you. So, be careful what you do and say. (Or, I'll tattle to the RV Dreams forum family and SOITC's forum family.)
Oh, while I haven't read much of your blog yet, from what I've read so far, you are writing just fine. There was only one "questionable" word in the breakdown story.

Can't promise there won't be any more "questionable" words.
Doris
Doris,
When it all comes down to it, the occasional word is not an issue. And, I think that considering the circumstances of that one, it was certainly warranted. I have used it myself on occasion.

Thanks Jessica! I've hopped on over to yours and am looking forward to following your journey to fulltiming. It's been a little over a month for us and we are LOVING it!

Doris, Wonderful blog. I enjoy reading blogs that tell the story as it is lived. That is what you have done. I can hear you telling the story. WI assume you were only in the truck on the trip to Sedona. Your photos help tell the story. I've added you to my daily reader. Hope to meet you on the road some day.

And to answer about the turbo...it was a turbo HOSE. Easy enough fix, but the 6 inch long, 3 inch wide hose was $78 at the dealer!! We had an F250 a couple of years ago that also blew a turbo hose, so it is either a problem with the Ford hoses or turbo hoses. Haven't really looked around in forums to see which it is. DH bought an extra hose just in case. The F450 we have now has about 40,000 miles on it and the F250 we had that blew the hose had about 30,000 on it.
Both times we had traveled about 250 miles and were climbing a hill..this time we were also at high altitude.
The one thing about breaking down this time as compared to when we were just on vacation, is that we didn't get all pissed off and worried we were wasting precious vacation time on a breakdown. We were somewhat concerned, but I had my book and "The House" with us, so we were just fine. Big difference!
