Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hello, just 4 months to go until retirement and then we hit the road, read every book on living in our motorhome and seeing this great country. We are going to keep our home in Michigan and travel in the winter, we will have to do workamping, which we don't mind as long as it is along the lines of hosting, my husband has bad knees and can't walk far so uses an amigo for distance, but hoping to use a golf cart provided by the campgrounds, also financially we have to work or at least volunteer for FHU and site, without selling our home things are going to be tight, my income will be cut in half with being on SSI and a small pension and my husband is on SSDI, we have a small house payment but our motorhome is paid for. We want this so bad and most of all need it for peace of mind, not too mention for health reasons! We are hoping to find something in the Southwest where the weather is great in the winter months. We plan on selling a lot of extras we don't need anymore, even hoping to rent our furnished home out for a year at a time and when we come home in the spring stay in a campground around here and camphost! So wish us luck and would love some input from anyone else out there with handicaps! By the way I am in great shape and hold a CDL with passenger indorcement. Viola and Craig Cooksgone!
Thank you everyone and Laurly 2012 will be here before you know it, I didn't think 2011 would ever get here, time is flying for us, once we hit the road hoping it slows down, lol! Bonnie and Clyde, I plan on starting a journal as soon as we are on the road! Thanks for all the well wishes!
