Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
My wife and I are looking to retire within the next year and plan to be part-timers in that we will travel about 8 months a year and be back at home the other 4. Our preference is for a 5th wheel though we've never owned one. We have owned a pop-up and several campers in the past and don't feel we would want to live in either model for 8 months a year. We've found a 36-foot 2009 Grand Junction, model 335TRL that is in pristine condition. It has most of the upgrades available - 2 air conditioners, a 40,000 BTU furnace, fire place, auto roof satellite dish, 3 slides w/awnings, prepped for a generator and washer/dryer, etc.
Here is where we need your wisdom: the asking price is $29,000 which is well below book value; however, we've seen some forums where folks have claimed to have bought brand new units for 50% or more off list price. This makes us wonder if this unit is really a smart buy. Appreciate your comments.
Sounds like a great deal, maybe too good? Spend a couple hundred and have an RV specialist inspect and appraise the unit. There may be warranty left, find out if it is transferable. We found out the hard way that Jayco's warranty is non transferable from original purchaser no matter how much time has elapsed.
I just went to the link that Jerry & Carrol provided. Make sure that is a floor plan that you can live with. Doesn't appear to be much interior storage space or seperation. That may not be inportant to some.

Mike, That sound pretty low to me. Here is a link to the same unit 335TRL, ASKING PRICE IS $70,000. Also, NADA prince is above the $29,000 you mentioned. Is there anything wrong with the unit?
Price seems too good to be true.
