Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi all! In November my husband and I will be taking an RV down to a wedding at the Olde Pink House in Savannah, GA. I was wondering if there is an RV park near the facility? Thank you in advance for your responses. Have a great day!
While I know nothing about any of the RV parks, I did find this map on Google. The Olde Pink House is on the same side of the river as most of the parks and located close to Hutchinson Island in the river.
Check out the marked places on the map. Not all are RV parks, though.
The closest RV parks are Almar Inn & Mobile Home Park 35 Main Street Garden City, GA 31408 and Red Gate Campground & RV Resort 105 Red Gate Farm Trail Savannah, GA 31405
I lived in Savannah for 36 years and the Pink House is still a favorite!
We were there recently and stayed at Hardeevill RV in Hardeeville, SC. Yes, it is only five miles from Savannah, it is a Passport America and a great place to stay. Very basic offering of pull-through, electric, water and sewer, WiFi and cable for $21.
It is easy to locate, clean and just does not have a pool, showers, etc. From there to the Pink House is very simple. Once across the river in Savannah, you are less than a mile from the Pink House.
i have read about the Red Gate Farm, know the area, but have not been there. My pick would definitely be Hardeefille RV. Many RV Dreamers have stayed there when visiting Savannah.
