Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. RV Maintenance is essential to preserving the value of your RV investment. Routine RV Maintenance should be done in regular intervals and record keeping is essential. RV surface maintenance and some basic Rv Maintenance chores. Here is a core checklist of essential maintenance to begin your RV roof surface preparation. First you need to take off all the fixtures and edge moldings from the roof as you my need to make the roof coating softer for easier rv roof maintenance. Remove peeling paint and brittle caulking. Heavy build ups of asphalt roof cement should also be removed. Tighten any loose fasteners and replace those which are severely corroded. Repair or replace roof panels damaged by storms. Remove heavy rust with abrasive discs or wire brushes. Power washes all surfaces to be coated and allow drying thoroughly. Caulk all gaps wider than 1/16 inch which are not expansion and contraction slip surfaces. After the roof work is complete, ask the contractor to go over proper roof maintenance with you.
I'm assuming because of weight issues, this product would primarily be applied around roof mounted fixtures? Is it compatible with most OEM roofing materials used on RVs?

Sounds like you're describing an older metal trailer. Rust and asphalt roof cement? On a modern RV?
I'm a little sceptical this is nothing more than a spam add but not sure.I've been chastised before for assuming the worst so will see if op posts any further than this add.

If it were me, after reading the manual that came with the roof on my rig, I’d get the opinion of an RV Technician I trusted concerning the use of this or any product on my roof, especially if it’s fairly new.There could be a warranty issue if the roof manufacture's maintenance procedures are not followed.
All that’s code for “be careful” and "be sure," at least in my opinion.
I was wondering about the roof lately (coming out of a rainy Southern Oregon winter!). We have a 2003 HR Endeavor-no problems yet, but how often does one have to address this issue. Should we be concerned?
