Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Denise! I have had GMAC Insurance since 1995 and have had good service with them. I am registered in Florida and have the Fulltimers ins., To my understanding this covers anyone who injures themselves while entering or leaving your RV. I also have coverage on my possesions in the RV. I have had a winshield claim and was replaced with no problems. I have heard of other insurances, but some do not have this feature. Pieere

I am having a hard time finding a insurance company to insure us. They say because we will not have an address they are unable to offer us insurance. I guess you have to have a address and not be moving around. Who offers insurance for folks that are not at one location? I'm not uninsurable it's just no one wants to write it.
We’ve only gone with AARP-The Hartford for RV insurance so far and our experience with them has been quite good. Don’t know if it helps, but if you’re checking on rates, you could look them up too.
We have just bought the "Good Sam" GMAC full timers insurance on our 5er and also our truck. If you are full time then you live in your RV and not in a S & B. They just used our full time mail service address with no problem.
They were very nice but of course, I've had no claims since I just went with them. Also, don't be afraid to discuss the price of the quote. They may find ways to lower it as they did with us. Got quotes from Howard's people, Miller Ins., but they were just too high on the truck insurance. Also, Progressive with not write the replacement value policy if your rig is over 2 years old. Also, a lot of people use National Interstate but they don't write policies if you have an Alabama addess like us.
So, just investigate! You'll find someone to write FT insurance for you.

Are you an agent?
